This is a not-for-profit, more or less educational page devoted to Afghan poetry and its discussion. We hope that shortly we will open some pages where comments can be posted directly. At this time, we do all the posting. We select classical and occasionally contemporary poems from Afghanistan and post them for your enjoyment. برای اینکه زبان فارسی را برای نوشتن به کامپیوتر خود اضافه کنید باید به کنترول پانل رفته ریجنال لنگویج ستنگ را فشار بدهید و مطابق هدایت عمل کنید، گاهی باید شما یک تعداد فایل ها یا پرونده ها را اولا اضافه کنید که نوشتن از راست به چپ را ممکن می سازد و بعدا زبان فارسی را بیفزایید.

Instructions for adding Farsi to your windows: Mostly, reading Farsi should be automatic with many recently built computers. But to write in Farsi script, you need to add the fonts. From Windows XP Control Panel, go to Regional and Language Settings, select Languages, Check the box for Installing complex and right-to-left scripts, and click OK. Once those files are added, from the drop down menu, add Farsi. If you are asked whether you want language bar displayed, say yes. That way, your screen will let you toggle between English and Farsi or any other language you may have added. Of course you must be the administrator of your computer to install those files. For other versions of Windows, check their help files.
Pashto is slightly more complicated. Recent versions of Windows come with it, but for earlier ones including XP, you need to add Pashto files separately. One site that has instructions and download help is www.khpalapashtu.com
I have posted two tests in Dari about poetry. The first person who scores 80 percent correct will receive a prize of $50. This is not an advertisement but only an attempt to boost interest in poetry and literature.
